- Let me get in shape first, then I will join.
- I’m too out of shape to do that.
- I wouldn’t be able to keep up.
These are just a few of the excuses I hear before people begin a fitness program. I thought fitness programs were aimed to increase strength and aerobic capacity? So why would you need to be in shape BEFORE starting? If this is the mindset, then there is probably something wrong with the program you are choosing.
Either the intensity is too high or the strength demands don’t fit where YOU currently are. Sure you could “modify” or “scale” but at the end of the day, you will still struggle to see progress because clearly it’s not what YOU should be doing.
What if there was a program that assessed where YOU are currently and build a program to challenge YOU? Kind of like a personal trainer, but without that expensive price point?
